Racing
This racing game was created in Unreal Engine 5 wichin 1 week. The goal was to create a fully functional racing experience complete with a checkpoint system, lap tracking, time management, and an interactive UI. I used the premade racing game blueprint but I modified the entire handling by quite a bit. The overall vibe should remind of these early 2000s games where we race against the time but with a modern graphics.
What I've done:
- 🧩 Implemented full game logic in Blueprints
- ⏱️ Created a checkpoint system with start, checkpoint, and finish triggers
- 🎮 Designed dynamic in-game UI for lap/time display
- 🌲 Created the level using built-in foliage/mesh systems
- 🛞 Adjusted vehicle physics for arcade-style handling
- 🎥 Recorded and edited showcase footage

Project Description
The game features a forest track environment, optimized performance, and arcade'ish vehicle physics.
Through the event graphs, the system manages game start, lap tracking, time reduction over checkpoints, and victory handling. Widgets update the player’s HUD in real time to show progress and pace.
